It's Awards Season

In the field of music, theatre, film and television they have their Grammys, Oscars, etc. Well, Optimist International also has its Special Awards and the announcements for the 2011-2012 year are indeed out.
President Jack and his One hundred percent and then some team have a lot to celebrate. Congratulations to all the winners! You have continued the rich tradition of growing the movement and creating more opportunities for bringing out the best in children all across the world.
Of course, the Caribbean District is never left out of the winners circle. Special congratulations to Governor Dwight and his Power of One Team.

Aaaand...here are the special celebrants from the Caribbean District:

Distinguished and Outstanding Lieutenant Governor
Jo-Ann Jordan (Zone 12)
Jo-Ann is among the 65 Distinguished Lieutenant Governors for 2011-2012, twenty one of whom have been designated Outstanding Lieutenant Governors. In the context of the Caribbean District she is the only Lt.G being recognized at this level.
Congrats to Jo-Ann, Zone 12, and her own club, Optimist Club of Barbados-Bridgetown, for this well deserved recognition. The clubs in Zone 12 are Barbados-South, Barbados-Bridgetown, Barbados-Central, Progressive Barbados, and Pride of Barbados (formed in 2012).
